Historical research can take many forms: tracking down details of an historical figure’s life, summarizing newspaper coverage of a particular subject, locating possible images for publication use, or background research for film or television productions.

Please note, for ethical reasons, I cannot assist with dissertation or other student research.

Proxy Research

When an institution cannot provide the materials you need in a digital format, a proxy researcher will visit an institution on your behalf.

Services available at Central Texas libraries including the Harry Ransom Center, Benson Latin American Collection, Briscoe Center for American History, and Austin History Center.

Exhibition PLanning

Whether your organization needs assistance conceptualizing an exhibition for a gallery space or an online exhibition, I can help. With more than a decade of exhibition curation experience, I can provide background research, develop a narrative plan, select items, and write wall and label text.

Document Transcription

Transcribing old family letters, correspondence written by the subject of your film, or a handwritten manuscript can be tedious. Save time during your research by outsourcing that task.
